Guitar Setups and Free Inspection

 Successful musicians know that an inferior or compromised instrument is their worst enemy!  Guitars have many adjustments that need to be made periodically to insure optimum playability.  Often parents mistakenly assume that the beginner just needs the equivalent of a board with some string's on it "just to see if he or she likes playing first"!  In our experience, they probably wont like it! 

There are some very good instruments available now at affordable prices.  Try your local music shop where they can supply you with a good quality instrument.  If you already have an instrument, bring it in and see if a setup can improve it's playability.  This is usually not done at the factory.  This old Gibson flying V was in such bad shape that it was unrecognizable (see photo below)!  After our technician finished some minor adjustments, new strings and a good cleaning, now it's as good as new!
